Mike Duffy, founder of avalanche1, developed curricula that is specific to motorized users.  Taught his first motorized avalanche class in 1996 and has gone on to teach more motorized students than any organization in the U.S. Teaching from ME to AK with a program that is proven to reduce accidents and fatalities.  We stay ahead by constantly learning, practicing, researching and developing techniques.  Very fortunate to work with and learn from some of the best in the industry.

Pro member, certified instructor. U.S. Course provider, American Avalanche Association. Rescue/avalanche team leader/ Vail Mountain Rescue Group. Graduate of National Avalanche School, National Academy of Winter Guiding, AVPRO & Professional Avalanche Search & Rescue. Mountain Snowmobiler for 30 years. Provides training for Arctic Cat, Polaris, Ski-Doo, Yamaha, FBI HRT and Navy Seals. Backcountry riding instructor. Member and qualified instructor, Motorized Avalanche Professionals.
